Selina Doran has been instrumental in building Carver Peterson Consulting
alongside Founder, Scott Peterson, for just short of three years. As the very first
employee to join the team, Doran was recruited to assist in scaling internal
operations and sales. With an expertise in organizational development and
leadership, Doran leads by capitalizing on the competitive advantages of an
organization to focus on empowering the unique talents of its employees. As a
valuable member of CPC, she works directly with executives and sales teams to
refine strategy, streamline process, determine structure, and develop personnel
to drive revenue and profitability.

Doran holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Westmont College
and a Master of Science in Communication from Northwestern University. With a
history in the startup community and an expansive background in business
management and leadership, Doran uses her strengths to equip others to gain
and sustain a competitive advantage as effective and valued leaders. Her
commitment to clients: improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Out of over twenty thousand national applicants, Selina was one of the one
thousand students who received the honor to be chosen as a Gates Millennium
Scholar with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. In addition to promoting academic excellence, the GMS program empowers its scholars by providing life-
long personal, leadership and professional development opportunities, networking and mentorship opportunities, as well as financial and academic
support—equipping its scholars to become “Leaders of America’s Future.”

Born and raised in Bellingham, WA, Doran has a strong affection for the Pacific
Northwest. As a new Chicago resident, she loves the vibrant energy of the city,
but will always long for the mountains and Pacific Ocean. Although consistently
drawn to new experiences, opportunities, people and places, her family is her
greatest source of inspiration. Passionate about the power of confidence,
perseverance and the importance of empathy, she firmly believes that character,
not circumstance, defines success.
