Janet Kraft was 19 years old when her father died. He did not have his affairs in order, and the resulting trauma for his 37-year old widow and 4 teenage daughters was intense and avoidable. Several decades later Janet became an ordained interfaith minister with an active funeral and memorial ministry. One morning upon awakening these two events linked themselves in my mind, ultimately producing a book and educational program called, "Leaving Lightly: Getting Your Affairs in Order So All You Leave Behind is Love."
Janet's speaking voice and ease before an audience began with an early career as a radio broadcaster, actor and singer. She has taught numerous workshops and classes, and have conducted hundreds of sermons, special events, weddings and funerals. Additionally, she has spoken to many community and church groups on the east and west coast and in Chicagoland on Leaving Lightly, including being one of the invited speakers at the 2017 Active Senior Expo in Northbrook.
